RESULTS: Bruins in the Olympics Day Two

Today was a busy day for three of the five Bruins players participating in the Olympics. Louis Eriksson and David Krejci played against each other yesterday, with Eriksson and Team Sweden (1-0-0) taking the victory over the Czech Republic (0-1-0). Patrice Bergeron and Tuukka Rask were victorious in their games today: Bergeron and Team Canada (1-0-0) won against Norway (0-1-0), while Tuukka Rask and Team Finland (1-0-0) defeated Austria (0-1-0). Zdeno Chara was the third Bruin playing today for Team Slovakia (0-1-0), who lost 1-7 against the United States (1-0-0) in the most lopsided victory through the games played so far in the Men’s Group Round.

Stats for the players are summarized below. Bergeron has contributed the most offensively to his team through one game played. Tuukka had a rough start, mostly due to defensive mistakes in front of him. But he came out of the game with a win thanks to his team scoring 8 goals. There are already talks that Lehtonen will get the start for Finalnd’s second game, so we’ll see when Rask plays next.

Tomorrow will feature a whopping four games featuring Bruins players. Patrice Bergeron and Tuukka Rask (if he starts) will be playing in Group B match-ups. Loui Eriksson and David Krejci will be playing in Group C match-ups. Zdeno Chara and Group A will be off until Saturday.
